

Easton Historic Cemetery, located at 401 North 7th Street, is pleased to announce that on August 1, 2022, the cemetery will benefit from a day of charitable tree maintenance work to remove over sixty-five dead trees and / or dangerous on any terrain. . This is an amazing event with local businesses supporting a local non-profit organization. Easton Cemetery is a gem as the town moves towards a safer future.

The cemetery worked closely with Easton Town Forester Rob Christopher to develop a comprehensive plan for the maintenance of its existing mature trees as well as replacement plantings to ensure a healthy forest for the cemetery. ‘coming. The reforestation effort began in 2021 with native trees that were donated by The Arbor Day Foundation Event/Community Tree Recovery Grant. Mr. Christopher is also applying for additional grants in hopes of planting a significant number of additional trees this fall.
