COLUMBUS—Bruce Levengood, chairman of the board of the Ohio Oil & Gas Association, today announced that Robert Brundrett has been named president.

Over the past 10 years, Brundrett has held several positions with the Ohio Manufacturers Association, most recently as Executive Director of Public Policy Services. In this role, he was responsible for coordinating the association’s policy and developing and implementing its political, legislative and regulatory strategies. He also served as Director of Legislative Affairs for the Ohio Auditor and served in both the Ohio House and Senate.

“Robert’s years of experience in professional associations and his familiarity with public policy and the state legislature make him a terrific choice to lead our association,” said Levengood. “I look forward to working together in the years to come to serve our members and benefit our industry.”

“I am incredibly honored to lead the Ohio Oil and Gas Association,” Brundrett said. “I am delighted to work with the Board of Directors and the members to continue the excellent work of the association. There are so many oil and gas opportunities in Ohio.

Brundrett is originally from Troy, Ohio. He received his law degree from Cleveland State University and his undergraduate degree from Xavier University.

OOGA, founded in 1947, is a statewide trade association serving approximately 1,300 members. Its mission is to protect, promote, foster and advance the common interests of those engaged in all aspects of Ohio’s natural gas and petroleum industry.
