Dr. Dre’s ongoing divorce from his ex-wife, Nicole Young, has been anything but friendly. So much so that the legendary producer was recently served with divorce papers while mourning a loved one.

According to a TMZ report released Wednesday, October 20, a bailiff confronted Dre with divorce documents while he was in the cemetery burying his grandmother. Sources close to the gossip site say this incident in which Dr Dre received the legal documents took place on Monday (October 18).

However, there appears to be a dispute over where exactly the Compton native was when he was served. Sources close to Dre claim he received the documents at the burial site as the beatmaker stood near his grandmother’s coffin. Meanwhile, those linked to Nicole Young refute this and instead say that Dre was confronted with the process server in the cemetery parking lot after the burial of the matriarchal figure who helped raise Dr Dre.

The divorce forms that Dre received also involve the payment of Nicole Young’s attorney fees.

Plus, there seems to be some disagreement about how much Dr. Dre is supposed to take. Dre reportedly paid $ 325,433, but a judge allegedly signed an order stating that he owed $ 1,550,000, which was stated on the documents Dre received.

Dre, on the other hand, believes this amount is incorrect and claims to have satisfied Nicole’s fees.

Nicole disagrees, saying the hip-hop mogul owes $ 1,224,567.

In July, Dre was ordered to pay Nicole $ 293,306 a month in spousal support after asking for more than $ 1.9 million in monthly support.

Months before, in April, the marriage was officially over, considering that Dr Dre and Nicole were both single in the midst of their divorce.

Nicole Young filed for divorce from Dr. Dre, her husband of 24 years, in June of last year.

XXL has contacted attorneys for Nicole Young and Dr Dre as well as a representative for Dre for comment on this matter.
