BREVARD COUNTY • CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – The Military Association of America, Cape Canaveral Chapter hosted a fundraising golf tournament on December 4th to benefit its Good Deeds Foundation.

Over 190 registered golfers participated and, after spending, the tournament raised over $ 20,000 for GDF programs in 2022.

Around 230 attended the event as golfers, MOAACC supporters, corporate sponsors, etc.

The tournament started with a gunshot at 8:30 a.m. on a beautiful, cool day at Cocoa Beach Country Club, a three-link course as Sheriff Wayne Ivey and Port Canaveral President Wayne Justice helped kick off the event.

Special support was also provided by the Space Force Base First Sergeant’s Council Patrick and the Courageous Division of Sea Cadets based at the Veterans Memorial Center on Merritt Island.

The GDF is a 501 (3) c organization that provides financial support to active-duty military personnel and their families; ROTC / JROTC and other student-related units; and veterans and those in need of special assistance in Brevard County.

Some of the veterans programs supported include Honor Flight, Veterans Treatment Court, Wreaths Across America at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, and the Brevard County Veterans Memorial Center on Merritt Island.
